Annual flower strips and honeybee hive supplementation differently affect arthropod guilds and ecosystem services in a mass-flowering crop

چکیده
Intensively managed agricultural landscapes have degraded the provisioning of diverse and continuous forage shelter habitats for arthropods weakened delivery ecosystem services such as insect crop pollination biological pest control. In response, farmers are incentivised to sow flower strips along field margins counteract resource bottlenecks. Yet, it is poorly understood how effective this diversification practice when combined with supplementation honeybee (Apis mellifera L.) hives, which commonly used boost in flowering crops. Honeybees share floral resources wild pollinators natural enemies pests, could lead competition food resources. We sampled pollinators, their pests well estimated benefit 17 organic faba bean (Vicia minor fields southern Sweden either or without sown annual added hives. strips, bumblebee (Bombus spp.) densities were redistributed from edges interiors but affecting overall densities. The hives densities, ladybird black aphid (Aphis fabae Scop.) edges, deterred moths pushed bumblebees towards interior. Bean mass per plant was higher pollinated plants compared bagged, self-pollinated plants. This independent hive strip treatment suggesting that not deficient pollinator visits. conclude did provide sufficient increase fields. attracted facilitated ground-dwelling predators, especially spiders, fields, likely by providing beneficial habitats. It worth noting 2018, we collected our data, characterised late frosts spring followed an unusually hot dry summer. While these unforeseen weather conditions together a relatively small sample size might limit generalisation results, argue conducting experiments under insights into effectiveness agri-environmental schemes climate change, considering becoming increasingly more frequent.

(Flowering phenology, seed set and arthropod guilds in Trichogoniopsis adenantha (DC) (Asteraceae) in south-east Brazil). Trichogoniopsis adenantha (Asteraceae) is a shrub plant that inhabits forest margins and glades. cohesion and cohesive devices in a contrastive analysis between ge and esp texts
the present study was an attempt to conduct a contrastive analysis between general english (ge) and english for specific purposes (esp) texts in terms of cohesion and cohesive devices. to this end, thirty texts from different esp and ge textbooks were randomly selected. then they were analyzed manually to find the frequency of cohesive devices. cohesive devices include reference, substitution, ...
15 صفحه اولTowards dense object tracking in a 2D honeybee hive
From human crowds to cells in tissue, the detection and efficient tracking of multiple objects in dense configurations is an important and unsolved problem. In the past, limitations of image analysis have restricted studies of dense groups to tracking a single or subset of marked individuals, or to coarse-grained group-level dynamics, all of which yield incomplete information. Here, we combine ...
